About Vicky

I believe health is a process and a wonderful journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. So far, my journey has included eczema, psoriasis, allergies, difficult periods, learning challenges, infertility issues, weight fluctuations, candida, and cataracts. I have learned much working with these issues and have developed a passion for self-improvement and health. I would be honored to share my knowledge and support with you as your intuitive holistic health coach.

Reflecting back on the first half of my journey, I believe my lifestyle impacted my health. I was a very picky eater. I ate mostly processed sugar and high carbohydrate foods. Because I was very active I was skinny but I had eczema, psoriasis, allergies, difficult periods and learning challenges. During my freshman year of college I exercised less while my stress increased along with junk food consumption. I also started to drink. By the end of my freshman year I had gained 20 to 25 pounds. I modified what I ate and my weight fell off easily.

After college I had a bad car accident. Because I almost bit off my tongue, I did not have full feeling in it and also had a slight lisp. I decided to go back to school to get my MBA with an emphasis in marketing. After graduating, I was lucky to get a job in the corporate world. I was sitting and eating more with my morning coffee break consisting of one or two donuts. The result of this lifestyle change was a 20-pound weight gain. I easily lost weight by adjusting my diet and exercise program but still had eczema, psoriasis, allergies, difficult periods, learning challenges.

After I got married to my husband Bill, I left the big corporate world and worked in sales until we realized we had fertility issues. My job was to be healthy, get pregnant and stay pregnant. Once again, I adjusted my eating and moving, habits and, with the help of specialists, I became pregnant. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, but our second pregnancy was successful. Even though I had a high-risk pregnancy, which included bed rest for most of it, I felt blessed to have given live birth to one of the twins I carried. I did not fully grieve my miscarriage or the loss of the one twin. I was completely focused on Brent, the surviving twin. I had gained about 50 lbs. during this pregnancy and after delivery I developed a rash. Traditional doctors could not figure out the cause of the rash so I went to an acupuncturist who told me I had candida. I began to follow the candida diet and slowly built up my exercise. The weight and rash went away.

I finally began making the connection between what I was putting in my mouth and my health. My gluten and dairy free diet helped me to release my seasonal allergies. I also realized that I needed to nurture my mind and spirit. I took many classes about gluten free eating/cooking, alternative healing techniques and the mind/body connection to health. In fact, I have a Reiki II certification. I had learned to nurture my body, mind and spirit.

I still ate lots of carbohydrates and sugars. In my 40’s, the rash came back and when I modified my diet it would go away. Modification in my diet did not result in the same improvements in my health in my late forties. At that time I also removed all the mercury from my mouth. Since then, I have had recurring rashes. I have been working with a Holistic Chiropractor for several years. When I found out I had cataracts, I added a Holistic Health Coach to my wellness team. She impressed and inspired me to take her health coaching classes and I enrolled in the Institute For Integrative Nutrition. My journeys lead me to be a Holistic Health Coach. To increase my understanding, I wanted to learn about my relationship with food and became a certified psychology of eating coach from the Institute For The Psychology Of Eating.

While I was studying at the Institute For Integrative Nutrition I continued to expand my creativity about developing/approaches that helped others and me. This lead me to establish a team to create an app called ROTATION DIET ASSISTANT. Not only does it assist in developing and managing a rotation diet but also helps organizing any meal plan.

These experiences have taught me that health is a process and a wonderful journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. I believe that traditional and alternative approaches can be complementary. The mind and body are connected and I also believe that health starts in the gut. I am using food and alternative techniques to heal my gut, and to release the candida and cataracts.

As I mentioned, I have learned so much on this journey, and I would be delighted to share my knowledge with you, to help reduce stress and increase the joy in your life.
