Happy Holidays

Do you enjoy the holidays? Are you joyful from all the celebrations or stressed because of the extra social demands of season? Perhaps the below list will help you slow down and relax to relish the merrymaking during December. Maybe try a few suggestions from the list to help you reduce your stress period.
Make a list of things you want to get done.

    1. Prioritize the list.
    2. Delegate items on the list to others.
    3. Release the need to have a perfectly cleaned house. People are coming to visit and celebrate with you.
    4. Take 5 minutes breaks during the day to do deep breathing, take a walk, dance, call a friend or anything else that makes you smile.
    5. Drink at least 8 glasses of water. If you have alcoholic beverage, drink extra water.
    6. Remember to eat.
    7. Eat warming and grounding foods such as root vegetable and stews.
    8. Give yourself the gift and permission to savory seasonal treats. Enjoy and taste each bite.
    9. Do a random act of kindness.
    10. Ground.
    11. Remember to put yourself on your gift list.
    12. Make a gratitude jar. Each night before you go to bed place what you are grateful for and positive things that happened that day.
    13. Then on New Year’s Eve empty it out and give thanks.
    14. Move your body is a way that make you smile and feel joyful.
    15. Remember the true reason for the season.

RECIPE:
Easy Banana Pudding

banana-pudding
Ingredients:
1 peeled and mashed banana
dash of sea salt
2 inches of seeds from a fresh vanilla pod or 1/4 teaspoon of gluten free vanilla
1 heaping tablespoon of nut or seed butter

Place a the ingredients into a a bowl. Savor every bite.
